Even in the afterlife, it's survival of the fittest
Am I the only one who felt incredibly sorry for the dead in the game? Think about it: you try to lead an exemplary and good life, in order to get to the good part of the Underworld. Then you die... your soul passes on... and it is greeted by this. If you are lucky, you became a part of a monster. If not... either the Soul Eater or Hades himself gobbles you up. It's just... hooooly shit... sooo disturbing!
It's pretty saddening to see the absolute LACK of Hades fanart on the internet. So I decided to add one, from a new perspective. It is so easy to forget just how cruel and downright horrifying Hades is, with all of the jokes and the amazing lines he has. But I figured I'd give some highlight to his darker side, seeing how everyone tends to neglect it.
I also wanted to include the single most memorable detail in Hades' design: his claws. I don't know why, but those nails almost hypnotize me. They add so much to his gestures, everything he says gets emphasized by them. It's incredible, I could watch them for hours.
Done with a shitty Genius tablet and Paint Tool SAI.
